Hospital Pharmacist - Alexandria, LA
A community hospital with over 200 beds is seeking a licensed pharmacist to support their pharmacy team. This contract role offers a dynamic work environment in Alexandria, LA, with an immediate start and a 13-week duration.
Location: Alexandria, LA
Schedule:
- Four 10-hour shifts per week
- Rotating schedule with shift times including 6:00 AM4:30 PM, 7:00 AM5:30 PM, or 12:30 PM11:00 PM
- Every other weekend coverage
Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to provide pharmaceutical consultation
- Participate in pharmacokinetics evaluations and dosing adjustments
- Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for medication management and documentation
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Active Louisiana pharmacist license
- Current or recent hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
