A pharmacist opportunity is available at a 200+ bed community hospital in Alexandria, LA. This contract role begins immediately and spans 13 weeks, offering a dynamic hospital environment where your expertise will directly impact patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately to ensure patient safety
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow
• Collaborate and consult with physicians and nursing staff
• Apply pharmacokinetic principles for individualized patient treatment plans
• Utilize hospital information systems including EPIC and Pyxis for medication management

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana pharmacist license
• Recent experience in a hospital pharmacy setting
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong communication and teamwork skills adaptable to a fast-paced environment

Schedule and Location:

• Alexandria, Louisiana
• Four 10-hour shifts per week, with a rotating schedule
• Possible shift times: 6:00 AM4:30 PM, 7:00 AM5:30 PM, or 12:30 PM11:00 PM
• Every other weekend on call
