Travel Inpatient Pharmacist - Amarillo, TX

This opportunity is for an Inpatient Pharmacist role based in Lubbock, TX, supporting a 500-bed hospital with specialized units including a 42-bed NICU and a 14-bed Pediatric ICU. The facility recently transitioned to EPIC software in February, and familiarity with EPIC is highly valued.

Schedule:

• 7 days on, 7 days off
• Night shift (Wednesday through Tuesday rotation)

Role Overview: The primary focus is on general inpatient pharmacy responsibilities within a hospital setting. You will play a vital role in supporting patient care through accurate medication management and collaboration with healthcare teams, ensuring optimal outcomes for both pediatric and adult patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage medication orders and dispensing for inpatients
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize pharmacotherapy
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and standards of practice
• Participate in medication reconciliation and safety initiatives

Desired Qualifications:

• 1 to 2 years of inpatient pharmacy experience is highly preferred
• Experience with EPIC pharmacy system is strongly preferred, given the recent software transition
• Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic hospital environment with critical care units
