Hospital Pharmacist - Amarillo, TX

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Schedule: 8 hours per day, day shift
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations across specialty practice areas such as IV room management, diversion and narcotics control, informatics, and residency program coordination within the pharmacy department.
- Provide direct pharmaceutical care to patients as a staff pharmacist on an as-needed basis.
- Support and maintain pharmacy systems by performing troubleshooting, updates, and ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Coordinate upgrade testing and lead education initiatives, acting as the subject matter expert and trainer for operational specialty practices.
- Serve as a preceptor for pharmacy students and residents, fostering the development of future pharmacy professionals.
Qualifications:
- B.S. or Pharm.D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
- Clinical pharmacy experience within a hospital setting required.
- Completion of an accredited PGY-1 residency and either a PGY-2 specialty residency or at least three years of clinical pharmacy experience; alternatively, five or more years of clinical experience without residency.
- Active pharmacist license in good standing with the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy.
- Certification requirements include BLS and ALS/ACLS certifications; sterile compounding knowledge is preferred.
- Board of Pharmacy Specialties certification or equivalent advanced training is highly desirable.
