Retail Pharmacist | Antioch, Tennessee

An independent pharmacy in the Nashville area is seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated pharmacist for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role offers the chance to work in a supportive environment where patient care and professional excellence are top priorities. The position begins ASAP and includes a 13-week contract with the potential to transition to permanent employment.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM 6:00 PM (32-40 hours weekly)
• Possible every other Saturday, 9:00 AM 3:00 PM (coverage may be available)

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently dispense medications while complying with all applicable laws and regulations
• Provide expert patient counseling on medication use, side effects, and interactions
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes
• Maintain thorough and accurate patient records; verify prescriptions for proper dosage and interactions
• Lead by example in supporting colleagues and fostering a positive workplace culture
• Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and adapt to evolving protocols and technologies

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Tennessee Pharmacist License required
• Familiarity with PioneerRX pharmacy software is a plus
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to excellent customer service and patient care
