Two Pharmacist Positions Available Suburban Denver Hospital
A well-established hospital in the suburban Denver area is seeking two experienced pharmacists to join their team on a 13-week contract with potential extensions. These roles are critical to supporting inpatient and outpatient oncology pharmacy services, offering diverse clinical experiences in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Opportunities:
- Pharmacist, Inpatient: Work variable days and afternoon shifts, supporting medication management and patient care within inpatient settings.
- Pharmacist, Outpatient Oncology: Day-shift role focused on outpatient oncology pharmacy, collaborating closely with oncology teams to ensure safe and effective medication therapies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense medications and verify prescriptions in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize pharmacotherapy and enhance patient safety.
- Utilize EPIC electronic health records to document interventions and track medication profiles.
- Participate in medication reconciliation and provide patient counseling as needed.
Qualifications:
- Active Colorado pharmacist license required.
- Solid experience in hospital pharmacy practice is essential, with an emphasis on either inpatient care or oncology outpatient pharmacy depending on the chosen position.
- Proficiency with EPIC or similar electronic documentation systems preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
