A full-time Pharmacy Supervisor opportunity is available in Bakersfield, CA, within an animal health compounding pharmacy setting. This direct hire position oversees a team of pharmacists dedicated to producing high-quality compounded preparations tailored to animal health needs. The role emphasizes leadership, compliance, and continuous improvement to support the pharmacys operational excellence.

Schedule:

  • MondayFriday, 8:15 AM5:15 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of pharmacists to meet productivity and quality goals
  • Oversee daily compounding operations ensuring workflow efficiency and adherence to procedures
  • Ensure compliance with USP standards, state and federal regulations, and 503A compounding requirements
  • Maintain accurate training documentation and enforce proper compounding techniques
  • Assist in drug selection for dispensing and compounded preparations within the pharmacy
  • Identify opportunities for process and formulation improvements to enhance quality and efficiency
  • Collaborate with pharmacy leadership and other departments to align goals and operations
  • Uphold confidentiality and adhere strictly to company policies and all regulatory guidelines

Qualifications:

  • Current California Pharmacist license in good standing
  • BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited pharmacy school
  • Minimum 2 years managing pharmacy staff in a lab setting
  • 2 to 5 years of compounding pharmacy experience, preferably in animal health
  • Strong knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, <800>, State Board regulations, and 503A compounding standards
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

This position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $160,000 to $185,000 plus bonus eligibility, commensurate with experience. Comprehensive benefits also accompany this role.
