Supervisor Mail Order Pharmacist in Bakersfield, CA

A full-time Pharmacy Supervisor opportunity is available in an animal health compounding pharmacy environment located in Bakersfield, CA. This onsite role involves leading a skilled team of pharmacists who produce high-quality compounded preparations tailored for veterinary use. The ideal candidate will have a strong management background and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality and compliance standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of pharmacists to meet productivity and quality goals.
• Oversee daily compounding pharmacy operations and workflow.
• Ensure compliance with USP <795>, <797>, <800>, State Board regulations, and 503A requirements.
• Maintain accurate training records and enforce proper compounding procedures.
• Assist in drug selection for dispensing and compounded products.
• Identify areas for process or formulation improvements to enhance operations.
• Collaborate with pharmacy leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Uphold confidentiality and comply with company policies and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Current California Pharmacist license in good standing.
• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited pharmacy school.
• Minimum 2 years managing pharmacy staff in a lab setting.
• 25 years of compounding pharmacy experience.
• Strong working knowledge of USP standards, state regulations, and 503A guidelines.
• Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and effective communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Location: Bakersfield, California
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:15 AM 5:15 PM
Compensation: $160,000$185,000 base salary plus bonus, commensurate with experience
