IV Sterile Compounding Retail Pharmacist | Bakersfield, California

A full-time opportunity is available for a Compounding Pharmacist in Bakersfield, CA, running through July 2026 with potential for permanent placement. This contract role primarily focuses on sterile and non-sterile compounding within a retail pharmacy setting. Immediate need also exists for a Retail Pharmacist who will concentrate on dispensing duties in a temporary capacity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding processes ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Perform final verification of prescriptions prior to dispensing
• Fill, label, and prepackage medications efficiently and accurately
• Communicate with healthcare providers for prescription orders, clarifications, and refills
• Counsel patients and address their questions professionally
• Maintain compliance with USP 795, 797, 800 standards and Board of Pharmacy regulations

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM
• Full-time through July 2026

Qualifications:

• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy degree
• Active California Pharmacist license
• 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience; compounding experience preferred
• Retail pharmacy experience considered for dispensing-focused roles
• Strong communication and organizational skills essential
