Travel Retail Pharmacist in Baldwinsville, NY

A full-time opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist in an outpatient retail pharmacy setting. This role is based primarily in Cooperstown, New York, with occasional coverage required at nearby Oneonta and Delhi locations. The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, totaling 40 hours per week. This contract position provides exposure to a highly respected healthcare network known for its stability and strong pharmacy program within a charming Upstate New York community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescription medications efficiently and accurately in a high-volume retail pharmacy environment, averaging 1,100 prescriptions per week
• Participate in the Meds to Beds program, ensuring seamless medication delivery for hospital patients
• Provide immunization services to the community
• Collaborate with pharmacy and healthcare staff to maintain excellent customer service standards
• Utilize Pharmacy Management System (PioneerRx) and EMR system (EPIC) for prescription processing and patient information management
• Flexibly support occasional coverage needs at Oneonta and Delhi sites for vacation and sick time

Desired Qualifications:

• Active New York State Pharmacist License in good standing
• Experience in retail or outpatient pharmacy practice required
• Background in high-volume dispensing preferred
• Familiarity with PioneerRx and EPIC systems is a plus
• Immunization certification or willingness to obtain certification
• Strong commitment to exceptional customer service
• Ability and willingness to provide occasional coverage at multiple locations
