A travel pharmacist opportunity is available at a 50-bed hospital in Ashland, Wisconsin, offering a dynamic role focused on providing high-quality pharmaceutical care. This position requires a thorough understanding of hospital pharmacy operations and a commitment to optimizing patient outcomes through expert medication management.

Responsibilities include reviewing medication orders to ensure appropriate drug therapy, dosing, and regimen while preventing therapeutic duplication and drug interactions. You will provide pharmacokinetic and anticoagulation dosing support and participate actively in clinical services such as medication reconciliation and discharge medication education. Oversight of pharmaceutical compounding activities is also essential, following USP regulatory and compliance guidelines, with a focus on USP 797 and USP 800 standards. Familiarity with EPIC IT systems is required for efficient documentation and communication.

Work schedule consists of 12-hour day shifts on a 7 days on, 7 days off rotation, supporting a balanced work-life rhythm in a collaborative environment. The role begins ASAP with a duration of 13 weeks or longer.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Wisconsin pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain a Wisconsin temporary license
• Minimum of 1 year hospital pharmacy experience
• Proficient in medication order review, pharmacokinetics, and clinical pharmacy services
• Knowledge of USP 797 and USP 800 compounding standards
• Experience with EPIC or similar electronic health record systems
