A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a Night Pharmacist at a 230-bed acute care community hospital in Yakima, WA. This role offers the potential to transition to permanent employment. The position requires coverage of 12-hour night shifts on a schedule of 7 consecutive nights followed by 7 days off (6 pm to 6 am). Flexible candidates willing to travel or temporarily relocate for this assignment are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently during night shifts
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations
• Consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding medication management and patient care
• Conduct pharmacokinetic monitoring and dosing adjustments
• Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for electronic medical record documentation and medication dispensing

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Pharmacist license in Washington State
• Previous experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting
• Willingness and ability to work night shifts reliably
• Strong communication and clinical consultation skills
• Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis technology is essential
