IV Sterile Compounding Home Infusion Pharmacist - Bella Vista, AR

This pharmacist role focuses on home infusion services in a dynamic healthcare environment. Based in Bella Vista, AR, this 13-week contract to hire position operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM with rotating every-third-weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications, ensuring patient safety and legal compliance.
• Monitor patient medication adherence and identify over-usage patterns.
• Counsel patients on medication use, potential side effects, and answer related questions.
• Maintain confidential patient records with meticulous attention to detail.
• Provide consultation on prescription and over-the-counter medications, including storage, dosage, side effects, and possible drug interactions.
• Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
• Compound medications and prepare sterile IV admixtures following established protocols.
• Supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians and clerks, ensuring efficient pharmacy operations.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
• Manage pharmaceutical and medical supply inventory to maintain readiness.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Arkansas pharmacy license.
• Proficient in sterile compounding.
• Experience in home infusion or inpatient hospital pharmacy settings.
• CPR certification and experience highly valued.
• Competence with computer systems, particularly CPR+.
