Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter and review medication orders for patients.
  • Dispense medications in a timely manner.
  • Provide precise drug information to healthcare teams.
  • Document medication monitoring and clinical evaluations using pharmacy computer systems and surveillance programs.
  • Oversee daily operations in the sterile compounding area, ensuring aseptic techniques and accurate preparation of compounded sterile products.
  • Prepare high-risk medications, narcotic infusions, and cytotoxic chemotherapy drugs.
  • Perform drug therapy monitoring and pharmacist-managed consults per established protocols.
  • Facilitate and document drug therapy decisions if rotating to ambulatory care, including through collaborative practice agreements.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
  • Pennsylvania pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain.
  • Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) residency or a minimum of three years of current clinical pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Experience with Meditech IT systems is advantageous.

Schedule:

  • Variable shifts with primarily day schedules, 8-hour shifts.
