Inpatient Pharmacist | Bernalillo, New Mexico

A healthcare facility in Bernalillo, NM is seeking a dedicated inpatient pharmacist to cover the overnight shift on a contract basis. This position supports inpatient medication services at womens health and additional campuses, offering a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital environment. The role begins on September 28 and spans 13 weeks, with a 7-on/7-off schedule from 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM.

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately for inpatient units
• Utilize medication automation systems such as Pyxis and Carousel
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and verify their work
• Prepare and verify intravenous (IV) medications (IV experience preferred)
• Support inpatient pharmacy operations at multiple hospital campuses as needed
• Document and manage patient medication profiles with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR)

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• At least 1 year of inpatient pharmacy experience required
• New traveler pharmacists welcome to apply
• Valid NM pharmacist license
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR systems
• Strong understanding of hospital inpatient pharmacy operations
• Ability to manage overnight pharmacy responsibilities independently
