Inpatient Pharmacist | Bernalillo, New Mexico

An inpatient pharmacist position is available to provide critical medication management and support for a 315-bed hospital. This role involves working the overnight shift, starting at 4:30 pm, with a schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week, including rotating weekends. The assignment begins on November 9 and lasts for approximately 13 weeks, with the potential to transition to a permanent opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and dispense medications accurately for inpatient populations
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective pharmacotherapy
• Provide pharmacy support for overflow needs at nearby Womens and Westside Hospitals as required
• Monitor patient drug therapies and provide clinical interventions and recommendations
• Maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory pharmacy standards

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active New Mexico pharmacist licensure
• Minimum of one year of inpatient pharmacy experience (previously two years required)
• Demonstrated knowledge of inpatient hospital pharmacy operations
• Ability to work independently and respond to urgent clinical situations overnight
• Flexibility to support additional hospital locations as needed
