Inpatient Pharmacist in Boone, NC

Located approximately two hours from both Charlotte and Greensboro, this opportunity serves a well-respected inpatient medical center in Boone, NC, seeking two experienced inpatient pharmacists for a 13-week contract starting Monday, 11/9. The schedule includes day and evening shifts, with no work past 9 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional customer service to healthcare team members via phone or in person.
• Verify medication orders with careful attention to patient allergies, potential drug interactions, and appropriateness of therapy.
• Perform medication reconciliation by reviewing home medications against reports, and conduct dosing consults in collaboration with physicians, residents, and healthcare staff.
• Inspect IV admixtures for accuracy, ensuring all preparations follow USP 797/800 guidelines to guarantee patient safety.

Desired Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of inpatient pharmacy experience.
• Proficient use of EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Valid North Carolina pharmacist license ready at the start of assignment.
• Candidates must reside more than 40 miles from Boone, NC (local candidates are ineligible).
