Travel Retail Pharmacist in Buffalo, NY

A full-time Staff Pharmacist position is available in an outpatient retail pharmacy primarily located in Cooperstown, New York, with occasional coverage responsibilities at Oneonta and Delhi locations. This travel role offers the opportunity to serve a high-volume pharmacy operation filling approximately 1,100 prescriptions per week, within a respected and stable health system known for its strong pharmacy program.

Location:

• Primary: Cooperstown, NY
• Occasional coverage: Oneonta and Delhi, NY

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense prescription medications in a fast-paced outpatient retail environment
• Provide immunization services and support the Meds to Beds program for hospital patients
• Ensure exceptional customer service aligning with the pharmacys high standards
• Utilize PioneerRx pharmacy management system and EPIC EMR for patient and insurance information
• Collaborate with pharmacy team to maintain compliance and operational efficiency
• Flexibly cover other locations as needed for vacation and sick coverage

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active New York State Pharmacist License in good standing
• Experience in retail or outpatient pharmacy settings is required
• Proven ability to efficiently manage a high volume of prescriptions (approximately 1,100 scripts per week preferred)
• Familiarity with PioneerRx pharmacy software preferred
• Experience using EPIC EMR system preferred
• Immunization certification or willingness to obtain
• Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service, a non-negotiable requirement
• Comfortable participating in Meds to Beds programs
• Adaptable to travel occasionally to Oneonta and Delhi locations
