Pharmacist in Butler, PA
This part-time Long Term Care Pharmacist role offers 24 hours per week in a contract assignment with potential for extension beyond the initial one-month timeline. The position supports medication management for skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice settings.
Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and verifying medication orders entered by data entry technicians
- Checking blister packaged medications as well as sterile and non-sterile products
- Responding to clinical inquiries from nursing facility staff, hospice nurses, and physicians
- Counting controlled substances and maintaining accurate perpetual inventory records
- Inspecting emergency medication boxes
The pharmacist will work Monday through Friday, with pharmacy operational hours from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Familiarity with QS1, Docutrack, and PCC operating systems is required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Pharmacy
- Current pharmacist license in good standing in Pennsylvania
- Minimum of 1 year pharmacy experience, preferably in Long Term Care
- Physical requirements include ability to sit and stand for extended periods, fine motor skills, visual acuity, and lifting up to 30 pounds
