Travel Hospital Pharmacist | Canton, Ohio

An opportunity is available for a seasoned Pharmacist to support a 500-bed hospital in a Cincinnati-area facility. This travel position is ideal for a professional with a strong background in hospital pharmacy practice, looking to contribute to patient care within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Location: Canton, OH (Travel)

Schedule:

• Evenings
• Options for either 4x10-hour shifts or 5x8-hour shifts
• Training to be completed during Day shifts

Duration: 13 weeks with potential for extension

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and verify sterile compounding processes to ensure safety and compliance
• Perform order verification for patient medications, including sterile products and dose checks
• Monitor and manage Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Respond to clinical inquiries from patients, physicians, and healthcare team members
• Support IV room operations, including handling specialized therapies such as ECMO and CRRT
• Conduct medication consults and participate in antibiotic dosing decisions
• Utilize EPIC EMR for medication order entry and documentation

Qualifications:

• Valid Ohio Pharmacist license
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a hospital pharmacy setting, preferably within a large academic hospital
• Proficient in EPIC electronic medical records system
• Skilled in sterile compounding oversight and medication order verification
• Strong clinical knowledge of advanced therapies such as ECMO, CRRT, and antibiotic management

Interviews are preferred in person but can be conducted via video conference if necessary. The start date is immediate, seeking candidates ready to begin promptly.

This is a 13-week travel assignment with the potential for extension, providing a chance to expand clinical expertise while delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care.
