A critical access hospital in a scenic small-town setting is seeking a dedicated pharmacist to provide inpatient pharmacy services and potentially serve as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC). Position Details:
- Role: Staff Pharmacist (may hold PIC responsibilities)
- Setting: Inpatient pharmacy covering a 25-licensed-bed hospital with an average daily census of 12 to 18 patients
- System: CPSI electronic medical records
- Schedule: 8 days on, 6 days off rotation working alongside one other pharmacist
- Shift Hours: 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM with on-call duties required
- Pharmacy Team: 2 pharmacists, 1 technician, 1 part-time pharmacist
- Contract Type: Contract to hire, 13 weeks, covering a retiring long-term staff pharmacist effective end of July
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Current pharmacist license in good standing
- Hospital inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
- Ability to manage responsibilities as PIC if required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaboration within a small staff
- Comfort working in a community hospital environment with a focus on personalized patient care
