Travel Hospital Pharmacist - Chico, CA

A travel Pharmacist opportunity is available at a 250-bed hospital offering a dynamic setting for practicing clinical pharmacy skills. This role involves working a schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week with variable days and afternoon hours. The position supports pharmacy operations through order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, engaging in consultation with physicians and nurses, and managing pharmacokinetics services.

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders ensuring accuracy and compliance with protocols
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow and accuracy
• Consult with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy
• Apply pharmacokinetic principles to monitoring and dosage adjustments
• Utilize healthcare IT systems, including Cerner and Omnicell

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Active California pharmacist license
• Willingness and interest in travel assignments
• Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
• PGY1 residency completion is an advantage, though not mandatory
• Comfortable working with Cerner and Omnicell pharmacy systems
