RPh on the Go is hiring a Long Term Care Pharmacist for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Chicora, PA. This position supports medication safety and pharmacy services for skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice patients, with the potential to transition into a permanent role after an initial 3-month contract.

Position Details:

• Employment Type: 3-month contract-to-hire

• Hours: 40 hours per week

• Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM6:00 PM; Saturday, 8:00 AM4:00 PM; Sunday, 8:00 AM3:00 PM

• Pharmacy Systems: QS1, Docutrack, and PCC

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify medication orders entered by pharmacy data entry technicians.

• Inspect blister-packed medications and sterile and non-sterile compounds.

• Answer calls from nursing facilities, hospice staff, and physicians, providing clinical support as needed.

• Monitor controlled substances and maintain accurate perpetual inventory records.

• Inspect and manage emergency medication boxes to ensure accuracy and readiness.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Pharmacy.

• Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license in good standing.

• At least 1 year of pharmacist experience; long-term care experience preferred.

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including extended periods of sitting or standing and lifting up to 30 pounds.
