Travel Hospital Pharmacist | Cleveland, Ohio

A well-established 500-bed hospital in Cincinnati seeks an experienced Pharmacist to support their evening shift. This travel opportunity is ideal for a pharmacist licensed in Ohio with a strong background in hospital pharmacy, particularly in a large, academic medical center setting.

Location: Cincinnati, OH
Position Type: Travel
Duration: 13 weeks, with potential for extension
Shift: Evenings, offering either 4x10 or 5x8 schedules (training during day shifts)
Start Date: Immediate availability preferred
Interviews: In-person preferred; video interviews available

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately, including sterile compounding oversight and verification of sterile products
• Conduct dose checks and manage Pyxis medication distribution system checks
• Provide consults on antibiotic dosing and other specialized pharmacy services
• Collaborate with clinical teams in the IV room, ECMO, CRRT processes, and more
• Field questions from patients and medical staff to ensure optimal medication management

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist with an active Ohio license
• Minimum of 3 years hospital pharmacy experience, preferably in a large academic hospital setting
• Proficient in EPIC EMR system
• Knowledgeable in sterile compounding procedures and clinical pharmacy practices such as consulting on complex dosing and managing critical care pharmacy needs
