Travel Hospital Pharmacist in Colby, WI

This travel pharmacist opportunity is based in a 75-bed hospital in Medford, WI, offering a dynamic role within a busy inpatient pharmacy. The position starts ASAP and is expected to last 13 weeks or more, with a schedule primarily consisting of 10-hour day shifts and occasional 8-hour weekend shifts on rotation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee multiple tasks in a central inpatient pharmacy environment, including verifying medication orders in EPIC, reviewing technician work, and responding to pharmacist inquiries.
• Dispense and manage inpatient and outpatient IV medications, inpatient unit dose medications, and outpatient chemotherapy treatments.
• Support a diverse inpatient census of 30-40 patients across various departments such as Med/Surg, OB/GYN, ICU, outpatient oncology, ED, and inpatient/outpatient surgery.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Licensed pharmacist with hospital pharmacy experience.
• Proficient in EPIC electronic health record system.
• Ability to manage high-volume workload while maintaining accuracy and patient safety.
• Experience handling inpatient and outpatient medications, including chemotherapy.

Schedule:

• Primarily 10-hour day shifts.
• Rotational 8-hour weekend shifts.
