Travel Hospital Pharmacist in Columbus, OH

A hospital pharmacy role is available for an experienced pharmacist at a 500-bed facility in Cincinnati. This travel opportunity offers a 13-week assignment with the possibility of extension, ideal for pharmacists with a strong background in large, academic hospital environments.

Schedule:

• Evenings
• Option of 4x10-hour or 5x8-hour shifts
• Training during day shifts

Responsibilities include overseeing sterile compounding processes, order verification, and sterile product checks. You will ensure accurate dose medication verification, manage Pyxis systems, and provide consults related to antibiotic dosing, ECMO, and CRRT. Interaction with patients and doctors to answer medication-related questions is required. Proficiency with the EPIC electronic medical record system is essential.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Ohio Pharmacist license
• Minimum of 3 years experience in hospital pharmacy, preferably in a large academic hospital setting
• Experience with EPIC EMR system
• Knowledge of sterile compounding, including overseeing and verifying sterile products
• Competence in dose checking, Pyxis management, and order verification
• Familiarity with specialized therapies such as ECMO and CRRT
• Strong communication skills for clinical consultations and patient interaction

This position requires availability to start as soon as possible. Interviews are preferred in person but can be conducted via video when necessary.
