Pharmacist - Crete, Nebraska

A reputable 120-bed Level III trauma center in Norfolk, NE, is seeking a dedicated pharmacist to provide expert night shift coverage. This contract opportunity offers a chance to work in a fast-paced hospital environment with a supportive pharmacy technician team available overnight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Validate medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Perform kinetic dosing and ensure proper medication management
• Review and verify medications prior to distribution to patients
• Provide timely responses to nursing staff inquiries regarding medication
• Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding procedures during the night shift
• Manage outpatient prescription filling for emergency department patients after hours

Schedule/Hours:

• Night shift hours: 8:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Workweek: 7 consecutive nights on, followed by 7 nights off (Wednesday through Tuesday)

Qualifications:

• Active Nebraska pharmacist license required
• Minimum of 1 year of inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record system preferred; training available
• Experience with Pyxis automated dispensing systems is a plus

Additional Information:

• Pharmacy technician support is provided during the night shift to assist with operational tasks
• Immediate start available with a minimum contract length of 13 weeks
