Pharmacist in Downingtown, PA

A Production Pharmacist role is available to support home infusion pharmacy services in Aston, PA. This contract opportunity spans two months and focuses on the accurate preparation, verification, and dispensing of sterile IV medications to ensure patient safety and effective drug therapy.

Schedule and Location:

• Monday through Friday
• Shift options: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM or 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM
• Location: 2540 Market St, Aston, PA 19014
• Dress code: Business casual or scrubs

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify medication orders along with patient records for accuracy
• Prepare, oversee, and approve sterile IV medication compounding processes
• Confirm accuracy of medications, supplies, and equipment prior to dispensing
• Monitor drug therapies, pertinent lab results, and patient outcomes when necessary
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations through precise documentation
• Engage in quality assurance activities and assist with staff training initiatives

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• RPh or PharmD degree earned from an accredited pharmacy program
• Active pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania
• Minimum of 2 years recent acute-care pharmacy experience OR 1 year recent home infusion experience
• Proficiency in IV therapy and sterile compounding techniques
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills essential for effective clinical collaboration
