Retail Pharmacist in Dubuque, IA

This pharmacist role offers an opportunity to contribute to patient care by ensuring accurate dispensing and promoting safe medication use. The position is based in Dubuque, IA, and operates on a contract basis, providing flexibility and a dynamic work environment.

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed
• Shift options: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM 6:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently under the supervision of the manager
• Counsel and advise patients on their medications, proper usage, and regimen
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws and standards to ensure patient safety
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize pharmaceutical care

Qualifications:

• Active and clear Pharmacist license in the state of Iowa; temporary Iowa Pharmacist licenses are also accepted
• Minimum of 1+ years of experience working in a retail pharmacy setting
• Strong communication skills and patient-focused approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
