Travel Hospital Pharmacist in Elyria, OH

A 13-week travel Pharmacist opportunity is available at a large 500-bed hospital in Cincinnati, with potential for extension. This role offers an engaging setting in a respected hospital environment utilizing EPIC EMR. The position features evening shifts, with options of 4x10 or 5x8 schedules. Training will be conducted during daytime hours.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee sterile compounding processes including verification and quality checks
• Conduct order verification and dose medication review ensuring accuracy and patient safety
• Manage and check sterile products and Pyxis inventory
• Collaborate directly with healthcare providers by fielding clinical questions from patients and doctors
• Support IV room operations including working with complex therapies such as ECMO and CRRT
• Participate in clinical consults, assisting with antibiotic dosing and other pharmaceutical care decisions

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Ohio Pharmacist license
• Minimum of 3 years hospital pharmacy experience, specifically in large academic medical centers
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system
• Knowledge of sterile compounding and verification procedures
• Experience with critical care therapies including ECMO and CRRT
• Strong clinical judgment in antibiotic dosing and consultative pharmacy

Location: Cincinnati, OH

This travel assignment requires flexibility and readiness to start promptly. In-person interviews are preferred; however, video interviews can be accommodated.
