Travel Retail Pharmacist | Fairport, New York

This full-time, contract opportunity is for a Staff Pharmacist in an outpatient retail pharmacy setting primarily based in Cooperstown, New York. The role involves working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with occasional coverage at nearby Oneonta and Delhi locations to support vacation and sick leave. This position offers the chance to contribute to a well-established and highly respected health system serving a broad rural community in Central New York.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense and verify approximately 1,100 prescriptions weekly in a high-volume retail pharmacy environment.
• Provide outstanding customer service, maintaining a patient-centered approach as a top priority.
• Manage pharmacy operations using PioneerRx software, including inventory and prescription processing.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team using the EPIC EMR system for patient demographics and insurance information.
• Administer immunizations and support the Meds to Beds program, facilitating medication delivery to hospital patients.
• Support occasional pharmacy coverage at Oneonta and Delhi satellite locations as needed.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Active New York State Pharmacist License in good standing.
• Retail or outpatient pharmacy experience, ideally in high-volume environments.
• Familiarity with PioneerRx pharmacy management system preferred.
• Experience with EPIC EMR system advantageous.
• Immunization certification or willingness to obtain.
• Strong commitment to exceptional customer service.
• Flexibility to provide coverage at alternate locations.

• Primary: Cooperstown, NY, with occasional assignments in Oneonta and Delhi, NY.
