Hospital Pharmacist - Fredericksburg, VA

This position is for a Pharmacist to support inpatient operations within a 400-bed medical center located in Fredericksburg, VA. The role is a contract opportunity with potential to convert to permanent employment. The hospital utilizes EPIC and Pyxis systems, making experience with these highly valuable.

Location: Fredericksburg, VA (Northern Virginia area)

Schedule:

• 8-hour shifts
• Primarily 2nd shift coverage on the contract side

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure safe and effective medication distribution
• Consult with physicians and nursing staff to optimize pharmacological care
• Manage pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring for complex medication regimens
• Support overall inpatient pharmacy operations to maintain high standards of patient care and safety

Desired Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist with hospital inpatient experience
• Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis systems preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to perform order verification and clinical interventions under fast-paced conditions
