Hospital Pharmacist in Fredericksburg, VA

Support inpatient pharmacy operations at a 400-bed medical center in Fredericksburg, VA, utilizing EPIC and Pyxis systems. This contract role primarily covers 8-hour second shifts with responsibilities including order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, consulting with healthcare teams, and managing pharmacokinetics.

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians
• Consult with physicians and nurses regarding medication therapy
• Manage pharmacokinetics and other clinical pharmacy services
• Ensure compliance with hospital and pharmacy standards

Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist with hospital pharmacy experience
• Proficient with EPIC and Pyxis systems preferred
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with medical staff
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced inpatient environment
