Pediatric Inpatient Pharmacist in Fremont, CA

A hospital inpatient pharmacist position is available at a well-regarded pediatric facility in the Fremont, CA area. This role focuses on providing pharmaceutical care within a busy 300-bed childrens hospital, supporting pediatric inpatient units. The position is offered on a contract basis with an ASAP start date and an expected term of approximately six months.

Schedule:

• Late 2nd shift starting around 4 PM
• Shift ends between 1 AM and 2 AM

Responsibilities:

• Accurate dispensing and management of medications for pediatric inpatient care
• Collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize pharmacological treatments
• Using EPIC software to manage patient records and medication orders
• Ensuring compliance with hospital policies and safety standards

Qualifications:

• Active pharmacist license
• Prefer candidates who have completed PGY1 residency
• Candidates with 1 to 2 years of current inpatient pharmacy experience at large, busy hospitals will also be considered
• Experience with pediatric pharmacy practice strongly preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC or similar electronic medical records systems is a plus
