This opportunity is for a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist focusing on Outpatient Infusion and Oncology at a large, acute care hospital in Gainesville, GA. This role offers a direct-hire position where you will serve as a pharmacotherapy expert and clinical resource, providing comprehensive medication management and support across a diverse patient population from neonates to geriatrics.

Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and resolve complex medication-related issues in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and provide medication consults
- Conduct thorough patient profile reviews and deliver evidence-based medication recommendations
- Support Medication Safety initiatives and proactively prevent adverse drug events
- Assist with Antimicrobial Stewardship and Infectious Disease programs, ensuring proper antibiotic use and compliance
- Develop and update clinical guidelines, protocols, and order sets
- Lead research, quality improvement, and medication utilization evaluations
- Respond to drug information requests and interpret medical literature
- Educate patients, families, and healthcare professionals on pharmacotherapy topics
- Precept pharmacy residents and students, and provide mentorship to pharmacists
- Actively engage in hospital committees such as P&T, Antimicrobial Stewardship, Sepsis, Stroke, Resuscitation, and Sedation
- Support medication management compliance and participate in DNV surveys
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Georgia Pharmacist license (required)
- Oncology experience (required)
- PGY1 residency training (highly preferred)
- Background in Infectious Disease or Antimicrobial Stewardship (highly preferred)
- Clinical acute care or hospital pharmacy experience, with skills in antimicrobial stewardship, medication safety, and clinical consults
