Travel Hospital Pharmacist - Garland, TX

A skilled Pharmacist with strong clinical expertise is needed to provide support at a 120-bed community hospital in Kerrville, TX. This travel assignment offers the opportunity to work in a hospital setting, focusing on delivering comprehensive pharmacy services in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Location: Kerrville, TX

Duration: 13 weeks+
Start Date: Immediate availability preferred

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday day shifts (start times at 7 am, 8 am, or 9 am)
• Coverage every 4th weekend
• Potential shift to 2nd shift hours (11:45 am 10:15 pm, 10-hour shifts) may occur, so flexibility is important

Responsibilities:

• Provide pharmaceutical care to hospitalized patients with an emphasis on clinical pharmacy services
• Utilize Meditech for electronic health records and MedKeeper to manage IV preparations
• Operate Omnicell systems for medication dispensing and inventory management
• Collaborate closely with healthcare teams to optimize medication use, especially in ICU and decentralized pharmacy settings
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety, and regulatory standards

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Current Texas Pharmacist license required
• Proven hospital pharmacy experience is essential
• Clinical expertise, particularly in decentralized or ICU pharmacy settings, is highly preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to changing scheduling needs
• Familiarity with Meditech, MedKeeper, and Omnicell systems is advantageous
