Inpatient Pharmacist - Garland, Texas

This opportunity is for experienced inpatient pharmacists seeking a 13-week contract-to-hire position at a large medical center with 450 beds. The role involves working four 10-hour shifts per week during day and evening hours, specifically from 12:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., starting November 9th.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform typical inpatient pharmacy duties, including hands-on IV preparation as well as checking and verifying IV admixtures
• Supervise pharmacy technicians in daily tasks
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records for patient medication management
• Operate Pyxis and Carousel automation systems to ensure efficient medication distribution and inventory control

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years inpatient pharmacy experience, including IV preparation
• Current pharmacist license for Texas in-hand upon hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, preferably EPIC
• Ability to supervise and collaborate effectively with pharmacy technicians
• Open to first-time travel pharmacists; however, candidates must be located more than 75 miles from the facility or willing to relocate
