Hospital Pharmacist in Gilmer, TX

A leading 300+ bed hospital and Level III trauma center is seeking two experienced Pharmacists to support their inpatient pharmacy operations. This contract opportunity is located in Gilmer, TX, with assignments based in Longview, TX. An immediate start is preferred.

The role offers a 13-week + assignment, with a flexible schedule structure that may include four 10-hour day shifts per week or an alternative blocked schedule such as 8 days on followed by 6 days off.

Key responsibilities include:

• Verifying medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervising and directing pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth pharmacy operations
• Consulting with physicians and nursing staff regarding medication management and clinical interventions
• Performing pharmacokinetic dosing assessments to optimize patient outcomes
• Supporting neonatal medication protocols and emergency medicine needs

Ideal candidates will possess:

• A current Texas Pharmacist license
• At least one year of recent inpatient or clinical pharmacy experience
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records and Pyxis automation systems
• Knowledge of pharmacokinetics, neonatal medication management, and emergency medicine pharmacy practices
