Hospital Pharmacist | Glendale, Arizona

An opportunity for a skilled travel pharmacist is available to work in a dynamic hospital setting located in Glendale, AZ. This contract role requires a professional who can contribute expertise in hospital pharmacy operations and patient care, maintaining high standards of clinical practice.

Schedule and Hours:

• 7 days on, 7 days off rotation
• Shifts range from 10 to 12 hours
• Weekdays: 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Weekends: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct order verification ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow
• Consult with physicians and nurses, providing clinical support and advice
• Utilize pharmacokinetics knowledge to optimize patient medication regimens
• Work proficiently with MedHost electronic medical record system

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Arizona pharmacist license is mandatory
• Valid ACLS and BLS certifications are required
• Demonstrated experience in a hospital pharmacy environment
• IV certification and experience administering IV medications
• Strong understanding of hospital pharmacy protocols and patient safety
