Outpatient Pharmacist - Glendale, California
An outpatient pharmacist role is open within a respected Los Angeles County Department of Health hospital system serving diverse ambulatory care and outpatient clinics in the area. Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts
- Flexibility required to cover primarily first and second shifts, with occasional third shifts
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care in hospital outpatient settings
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate medication dispensing and counseling
- Adhere to county health system policies and procedures
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of drug therapies and guidelines
- Prepare for and successfully pass a competency examination and Livescan background check as part of the onboarding
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacist with outpatient hospital pharmacy expertise
- PGYI residency preferred or approximately 2 years of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
- Retail pharmacy background candidates are welcome to apply, providing relevant hospital or outpatient skills
- Dedication to long-term assignment and potential transition to permanent status
