Oncology Pharmacist - Goleta, California

A leading non-profit health system in Santa Barbara County is seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist with expertise in Oncology to support both inpatient and outpatient infusion services. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive medication management, including ordering lab tests, selecting oncology therapies, and managing adverse events.
• Verify chemotherapy orders for accuracy, appropriate dosages, and safety compliance.
• Educate patients and caregivers about treatment plans, manage chemotherapy side effects, and support medication adherence.
• Collaborate closely with providers and nursing staff to guide treatment decisions during clinical rounds.
• Participate in oncology clinical trials, oversee investigational drug management, and contribute to the development of institutional oncology protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy.
• Eligibility to obtain a California pharmacist license.
• Completion of a PGY2 oncology residency or fellowship, OR PGY1 plus 3 years of clinical oncology specialist experience, OR at least 5 years of oncology clinical specialist experience.
• Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) preferred.
• Strong clinical expertise preferred over staffing experience.
