Retail IV Compounding Pharmacist - Greensboro, North Carolina

This opportunity is ideal for a licensed pharmacist seeking to advance their career in a specialty retail pharmacy environment with a focus on sterile and non-sterile compounding. The role offers hands-on experience working with a computerized order entry system (PK, similar to QS1), with training provided to ensure smooth onboarding. This contract-to-hire position allows you to demonstrate your skills over 13 weeks with the potential to transition into a permanent role.

Location: Greensboro, NC
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch break

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and safely in a retail specialty pharmacy setting
• Prepare and compound sterile and non-sterile medications following established protocols and regulatory guidelines
• Utilize pharmacy order entry software (PK) for processing prescriptionstraining included
• Provide exceptional patient counseling and support to ensure understanding of medication use and adherence
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize therapeutic outcomes

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active North Carolina pharmacy license is required
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of pharmacy experience, preferably in retail
• Experience with sterile compounding is highly desirable
• Experience with non-sterile compounding adds value
• Proficiency or willingness to learn PK or similar order entry systems
