Inpatient Pediatric Pharmacist in Hayward, CA
A contract position is available for an experienced inpatient Pediatric Pharmacist to support a prominent childrens hospital in Hayward, CA. This role requires expertise in hospital inpatient pharmacy care with a pediatric focus, offering an opportunity to work within a leading health system known for its excellence in pediatric care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense and verify medications in an inpatient pediatric setting
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy for pediatric patients
- Utilize EPIC software to manage prescriptions and patient records efficiently
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in clinical rounds and provide pharmacological guidance to medical staff
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacist with 1-2+ years of inpatient experience at a busy hospital strongly preferred
- Background in pediatric pharmacotherapy highly desired; PGY1 residency completion is preferred
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records system is required
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills essential
- Ability to work independently during late evening and overnight hours
Schedule:
- Late second shift beginning around 4 PM through 12 AM
Location:
- Hayward, CA, supporting a 300-bed childrens hospital affiliated with a premier Northern California pediatric health system
