Hospital Pharmacist in Henrico, VA

Two night shift pharmacist opportunities are available at a busy 460-bed Level I trauma center in Henrico, VA. These contract roles offer a unique week-on, week-off schedule with shifts from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM, providing extended time off between work weeks for a balanced lifestyle.

Responsibilities include order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, consulting with physicians and nurses on medication therapies, monitoring pharmacokinetics, and ensuring safe and effective medication use within the hospital. You will work with advanced technology systems including Meditech Magic, Vigilanz, Dose Edge, and Pyxis to support clinical decision-making and efficient workflow.

Ideal candidates will hold an active Virginia pharmacist license and possess strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across healthcare teams. Previous hospital pharmacy experience, particularly in a high-acuity trauma center environment, is highly preferred. Familiarity with the specified IT systems is a plus.
