PRN Behavioral Health Pharmacist New Paltz, NY

Location: New Paltz, NY

Position: PRN / Ongoing
Schedule: 12 days per week | Flexible days
Additional Coverage: PTO & Vacation Coverage

This is a flexible opportunity for a pharmacist interested in working 12 days per week, with the ability to provide additional coverage during pharmacist PTO and vacations. The pharmacy serves patients with behavioral health needs and complex medication regimens, so prior behavioral health pharmacy experience is required.

What Youll Do

• Verify prescriptions, assess dosing and drug interactions, and ensure medication orders are clinically appropriate.

• Dispense medications accurately and provide patient counseling and education.

• Support patients with behavioral health medications, complex therapies, adherence, and continuity of care.

• Collaborate with prescribers to address medication questions, clarifications, and therapy concerns.

• Assist with medication access and prior authorizations when needed.

• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with NYS pharmacy regulations and pharmacy policies.

• Provide oversight and guidance to pharmacy technicians and support staff.

What Were Looking For

• Active and clear New York Pharmacist license

• Prior behavioral health pharmacy experience required

• Strong knowledge of behavioral health medications and complex medication regimens

• Strong prescription verification and patient counseling skills

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Dependable and available for ongoing weekly and PTO coverage
