This position offers an exciting opportunity for a licensed pharmacist to engage in a hospital pharmacy setting in Hood River, OR. This contract role involves working closely with a dynamic healthcare team to provide excellent pharmaceutical care and support.

Location: Hood River, OR
Schedule:

  • Four 10-hour day shifts per week (7:00 AM 5:00 PM)

Responsibilities:

  • Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations
  • Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize patient medication regimens
  • Collaborate and consult with physicians and nursing staff to support patient care
  • Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for daily workflow management

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current Oregon Pharmacist license
  • Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy setting preferred
  • Strong knowledge of medication management and safety protocols
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clinical teams
  • Proficiency with pharmacy IT systems such as EPIC and Pyxis is beneficial

This contract position begins as soon as possible, with a minimum duration of 13 weeks, providing a great way to expand your clinical experience in a supportive hospital environment.
