Hospital Pharmacist - Hood River, Oregon

A pharmacy professional is needed in Hood River, OR, to provide expert pharmaceutical services in a hospital setting. This contract opportunity offers a supportive environment to utilize your skills in medication management and patient care across day shifts.

Schedule & Location:

• 4 days per week, 10-hour day shifts (7:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
• Based in Hood River, Oregon

Key Responsibilities:

• Order verification to ensure accurate and timely medication dispensing
• Supervising pharmacy technicians and supporting their workflow
• Applying pharmacokinetic principles to optimize patient therapy
• Collaborating with physicians and nurses to provide medication consultations
• Utilizing hospital IT systems including EPIC for clinical documentation and Pyxis for medication dispensing

Qualifications:

• Active Oregon Pharmacist license is required
• Relevant hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems is highly desirable
• Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills

Contract Details:

• Immediate start date available
• Contract duration of 13 weeks with possible extension
