Hospital Pharmacist - Houston, Texas

A prominent, high-volume hospital with over 500 beds located in the Texas Medical Center is seeking a skilled pharmacist to support their inpatient pharmacy operations. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment, delivering vital pharmaceutical care to a diverse patient population.

Location: Houston, TX
Type: Contract (13 weeks+) with potential for temp-to-hire
Schedule:

• 12:30 PM 9:00 PM
• 1:30 PM 10:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare, dispense, and distribute medications for inpatient use
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal medication therapy and patient safety
• Utilize electronic health records to review and document patient drug information
• Participate in medication reconciliation and clinical rounds
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, state regulations, and standards of practice

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Current Texas pharmacist license required
• Texas IV certification required
• Minimum of 3 years experience in an inpatient hospital pharmacy setting
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system preferred
• Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations and inpatient drug therapies
