Oncology Hospital Pharmacist - Houston, TX

An opportunity is available for an Oncology Inpatient Pharmacist at a large, busy 500+ bed hospital located in the Texas Medical Center. This contract position offers the chance to contribute expertise in oncology pharmacy within a multidisciplinary team setting.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with the patient care team during rounds to provide medication recommendations
• Developing treatment protocols in Epic and Epic Beacon systems
• Facilitating smooth transitions of care to outpatient oncology pharmacists
• Submitting non-formulary medication requests and coordinating specialty medications for patients

The schedule is day shifts, with an ASAP start date and an initial 13-week assignment. There is potential for this role to become permanent (temp-to-hire).

Ideal candidates will meet the following qualifications:

• Licensed pharmacist in Texas
• Texas IV certification
• Minimum of 3 years of inpatient pharmacy experience
• Oncology pharmacy experience
• Experience with Epic electronic health records preferred
