13-Week Temp-to-Perm

We are seeking an experienced Verification Pharmacist for a 13-week temp-to-perm opportunity with an ASAP start. This role is ideal for a pharmacist with prescription verification and/or compounding experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Position Details

• Schedule: MondayFriday, 9:00 AM5:30 PM

• Weekends: As needed

• Shift: 1st Shift

• Start: ASAP

Responsibilities

• Perform final verification of compounded prescriptions prior to dispensing.

• Review prescriptions for accuracy, dosing, drug interactions, patient information, formulation, and labeling.

• Identify and resolve prescription discrepancies and medication-related issues.

• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and sterile/non-sterile compounding teams.

• Provide clinical guidance to pharmacy technicians.

• Ensure compliance with USP <795>, <797>, <800>, Texas State Board of Pharmacy regulations, DEA requirements, and HIPAA.

• Support pharmacy quality and medication safety standards.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Texas Pharmacist License in good standing.

• Pharm.D. or B.S. in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited school.

• 1+ year of pharmacist experience; 2+ years preferred.

• Prescription verification experience required.

• Compounding, closed-door, specialty, mail-order, or high-volume pharmacy experience preferred.

• Knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, and <800>.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.

• Lifefile or similar pharmacy software experience is a plus.
