RPh on the Go is seeking Verification Pharmacists for an exciting opportunity with a high-volume compounding pharmacy in Houston, Texas!

Position Details

Location: Houston, TX

Assignment: 6-month contract with potential for permanent hire

Schedule: MondayFriday, 6:00 AM2:30 PM

Weekends: As needed

Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities

Perform final pharmacist verification of compounded prescriptions before dispensing.

Review prescription orders for clinical appropriateness, dosage accuracy, drug interactions, patient information, and labeling accuracy.

Ensure compliance with applicable pharmacy regulations and quality standards.

Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and sterile and non-sterile compounding teams to maintain an efficient workflow.

Identify and resolve prescription discrepancies, formulation questions, and documentation issues.

Provide clinical guidance to pharmacy technicians regarding prescription processing and quality expectations.

Requirements

Active, clear, and unrestricted Texas pharmacist license.

PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited school.

At least 1 year of pharmacist experience; closed-door pharmacy or compounding experience preferred.

Experience with prescription verification and medication safety.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume pharmacy environment.

Knowledge of USP standards and applicable pharmacy regulations is beneficial.

This is an excellent opportunity for pharmacists seeking a potential permanent position with a consistent weekday schedule. Part-time availability is also being considered!
